The Words She Left Me

Having a big sister means—not having someone who walks ahead of you, but someone whose light helps you find your own.

My Big Sister 

“Quality over Quantity. Efforts are not based on how much you can do but on how well you can do.”, She reminded me when I almost gave up on my studies. 

“Your tears should not be wasted on men who don’t see your worth like I do.”, she said this to me on my first heartbreak. 

“Protect your heart.”, she said. “Because kindness should be given to those who appreciate it and not to those who see no value in it.” 

Her advice was never loud, but it stayed. Long after the conversations ended, her words became the gentle reminders that carried me through life.
