The Conversations No One Heard

There was a time when my thoughts felt too heavy to share, so I kept them between myself and the silence of the night. This poem isn't about having all the answers—it's about the quiet conversations we have with ourselves while hoping that, one day, someone will understand us without needing us to shout.

I Talk To Myself

I talk to myself,

When the room is silent,

Where I could only feel the thin air

And hear my own voice.

Because no one could ever understand

My deepest thoughts even if I yelled them aloud.

I talk to myself,

When the sun fades away.

All I could do is stare at the moon,

Wondering if I am truly okay,

Wearing a mask of emotions,

Hiding what I truly feel and think.

I talk to myself,

When all is fast asleep.

I wish there was a kind soul that would hold my hand,

when I find it hard to be emotionally vulnerable.

Because even my loved ones,

especially the ones who have been in my life all this while,

Refuses to acknowledge and accept me for the person that I am today.
