Similar to the first tapestry, the simplicity of the silhouette caught my attention. As a beginner in Crochet Tapestry, simpler designs are a great way to start this journey, rather than jumping straight into a complex design.
Changes made in Stitch Fiddle
-The only changes made is the background colour. I wanted to experiment with different colours and see what goes well together and what clashes.
Overall Mood
-There is a degree of softness in the bright colours. It also makes the silhouette of the helmet appear softer even though it’s black.
Materials
-Yarn Brand: Milk Cotton
-8 PLY
-Hook Size: 5mm
-Colour Used: Red & Black
-Finished Size: 30 x 30 squares
Tension
-Tension was quite tight when it came to the colour changes. But it became more flexible when it came to the single colour sections.
Colour Work
-The silhouette area was the tough part due to colour changes.
Hand & Wrist Comfort
-Wrist and fingers were less tired but still a little sore because i was learning a new technique for colour changes and tension adjustment.
Yarn Behaviour
-Both yarn colours were easy to use and were very smooth. It only became tight during the colour changes. But due to high contrast in the colours, it makes it a bit challenging to hide the extra yarn.

Lessons Learned
-Red and Black goes well but it has very high contrast.
-Crocheting in the ends as I go makes it easier to hide the extra yarn.
-I should tug the yarn lightly during colour changes to reduce tightness in each row.
Personal Reflection
I’m very proud of this one too because I discovered another way to reduce yarn ends. Also, I learned to practice on my tension with a new method. I get to learn to adjust them along the way.
