On the Days You Forget
I often wonder what I would say to the person I love on the days they feel like they're not enough. This poem is a promise to my future partner—a reminder that my love was never built on perfection, but on choosing to stay, to listen, and to remind them of the worth they already carry within.
I’ll Be There
Remember the day,
When you came to me,
Worried, scared,
And in need of advice and comfort?
Seeing you in tears and sorrow,
I will never forget,
Because all I wanted to do,
Was give you the biggest and warmest hug
And tell you that everything will be alright.
Though I could not relate to the pain you’re going through,
The only thing I wanted to do was to stay by your side,
To watch you cry and vent all that was burdening you,
And be there for you when you needed me the most.
The last thing that I wanted to tell you,
The one and only thing that I want you to remember for the rest of your life,
YOU are WORTH it,
YOU are ENOUGH.
You do not need others to tell you how great you are,
Because,
You are already AMAZING,
In your own UNIQUE way.
